Help Us Lay Our Beloved Father to Rest & Support His Family
While driving, he began feeling weak and pulled over. His wife called an ambulance, and on the way to the ER, he was in severe pain. Doctors discovered a massive aneurysm in his aortic valve that had grown to a dangerous size.
Before surgery could be done, alarms went off. From the waiting room, we heard the urgent calls for help. His wife held his hand as doctors tried to resuscitate him again and again, until she made the heartbreaking decision to let him go.
Our family spent the next hours in shock, holding each other and saying our goodbyes to a man who was deeply loved. We are now raising funds to help cover his funeral expenses and support our family during this difficult time.
Our father was not only the proud dad of 8 children and a father figure to many more, but also the cherished grandfather to 23 grandkids. Born in Cambodia, he was a soldier in the Khmer Rouge and came to the United States as a refugee, carrying with him a lifetime of resilience, love, and generosity.
Together with his wife, he worked every single day to make a difference in their children’s lives and to protect them—ensuring they grew up surrounded by love, guidance, and opportunities they themselves never had.
Through countless health challenges, he never let pain or hardship stop him from caring for his family and those around him. He was the kind of person who would wake up at any hour to help a grandchild, work himself to the bone to provide for others, and open his home to anyone in need. His stubborn determination was matched only by his big heart—always putting the needs of others before his own. Whether it was sharing a laugh, offering a helping hand, cutting fresh fruit for loved ones, or cheering on his favorite teams (the Warriors and the 49ers), he lived each day with love and care.
He was a provider, a protector, and a pillar in our family and community—someone who was there through thick and thin and never hesitated to give what he could.
On August 12, our beloved father passed away at 75 yrs old. While we are heartbroken by this loss, we are comforted by the incredible life he lived and the legacy of kindness, strength, and generosity he leaves behind. We are now raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and to give him the farewell he truly deserves. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us honor him and the countless sacrifices he made for those he loved.
