Help Adam get a Service Dog

Hello, my name is Adam Chapin and I live in Mounds View MN. I served 18 years in the United States Army National Guard in Maine and Minnesota with multiple deployments to Iraq. Ramadi, Iraq 2005-2006, and Bagdhad, Iraq in 2011-2012. I was medically retired in 2020 with honorable service. I have the opportunity to get a Service Dog through the Warriors Heart® K-9 Academy. The Service Dog that I am training is named Esther. She is a loving 1-year-old Lab Collie mix. Esther is being trained to specifically assist me with PTSD, anxiety, O.C.D. , suicidal ideation, and major depressive disorder. I am convinced that Esther will greatly improve my day-to-day life.

 

I'm currently in treatment at the Warrior Hearts in Bandera TX. which provides treatment for Active Duty, Veterans and First Responders. I  have attempted 4 VA treatment programs and two civilian programs prior to finding this facility, which offers the treatment I've been looking for and need. My dual diagnosis's have taken a toll on my family, my health, my beautiful 5-year-old daughter, and is a contributing factor to my ongoing divorce.

 

My goal is to raise $5,000 to pay for all the fees associated with her training. The deadline is February 8th. It would mean the world to me if you good people could help me with the cost of training Esther. Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to Esther being a companion who I can include in my daily life.
