Healing After Car Accident
On Saturday July 10th, Kathy, Angel, Yareli, Melanie, and Daya were driving home from celebrating Kathy's 16th birthday at Sunsplash Water Park when they suffered a serious car accident on the freeway. The car hit the center divider and flipped three times, all the way into the right shoulder. When the car finally landed, it was upside down, and other freeway drivers pulled over to help get the friends out of the car. Miraculously, no other cars were hit, and everyone made it out of the accident with treatable wounds and injuries. While Kathy and Melanie spent time in the hospital for their injuries, including broken bones, cuts, and bruises, Daya, Yareli, and Angel were discharged in order to heal from home. Thankfully with time and care, everyone will heal and make a full recovery. Unfortunately, the car was totaled. The car belonged to Kathy's mom who relies on having her own car in order to work and provide for their family. We are humbly asking that you consider donating to support Kathy and her mom purchase a car. Kathy's mom is an amazing and resilient woman who goes above and beyond to help the people around her. Now it is our time to lend her some support. The accident was terrifying and traumatic for the friends and their families, but with a little help from us, they can begin to heal and rebuild.
