Ryan, our brother and friend, is a trans man living and working in Gainesville, Florida. We are helping him raise money to get gender-affirming top surgery. While coming out and beginning hormone replacement therapy have greatly improved Ryan’s quality of life, his ultimate goal is to feel completely at home in his body.
As a farm-worker and recent college graduate, Ryan’s funds are limited. And the surgeon he believes will offer him the best results and overall experience is not covered by insurance. For the blood tests, anesthesia, and actual surgical procedure alone Ryan is facing out-of-pocket costs of over $9,000. Our goal of raising $10,000 will help Ryan pay for his travel and recovery expenses, as well as lost wages during his recovery period.
Ryan’s surgery date is set for April 5, 2023, and he has until March 22 to pay the quoted price in full. Anything you can give is appreciated, including sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and on social media!
