My nephew Jacob celebrated his third birthday in May and two weeks later was diagnosed with leukemia. And as many of you are aware, cancer doesn’t just take a toll on you physically. It puts emotional and financial strain on you as well and impacts entire families. I’m hoping to raise funds to help cover everyday expenses while my brother in law is out part time on unpaid leave now. He was able to claim family medical leave, but time was up and he’s back to work as much as he can between Jacob’s treatments. Although we did just find out he is in remission, the rest of the treatment will take 2-3 years to complete. He is a patient at St. Jude and while many expenses are covered and we are so, so grateful for that, everyday expenses such as house payment, car payment, utilities and groceries are not. Caring for Jacob right now is definitely a full time job that takes both parents, they also have my nephew Robby who’s eight to take care of. Many of Jacob’s treatments require multiple overnight stays and or several trips a week at the hospital, both parents are needed at home now and the only way that can happen is if they have the funds to pay their bills. Any donation will be so appreciated, and if you cannot donate, a prayer sent my family’s way will be more than enough and a blessing. Thank you everyone for all the love and support.
