Where to start?? I guess the best way is to explain who I am, why im asking for donations and what causes the need for me to ask for help. Explaining the whole story would be nothing short of a small novel so i'll explain as short as possible and hope to not bore you with uneccesary details. By all means, feel free to ask if you want them. My name is Chris. Im 35, married to my best friend & father of 3 great kids . I have a large(15 mm) mid-brain tumor that has utterly stopped my life in its tracks for the last 3 years. It took me considerable time, many doctors and specialists( a total of 12 seperate providers from primary care to neuro specialist)and so many rounds of testing and scans it would be enough to make anyones head spin. I have been treated and diagnosed with multiple conditions through this period( fibromyalgia, possible lyme disease,hereditary lupus, rhuemetoid arthritis, degenerative disk issues;ruptured, herniated disks, disk narrowing, low bone density  and begining stages of ostpenia) and through all the tests, treatments, and over 14 different type of meds I continued to search for answers with little to no relief.I started recognizing symptoms in December 2012 and they had become severe enough to hinder my everyday activities by May 2013, causing me to lose my job as it was dangerous for both myself and the company to continue. I could tell you how I suffered in ways I wouldnt wish on my worst enemies, how daily life was literally unbearble and drove me thoughts of even taking my own life, how prescription drugs made me a different person all together, all of my financial woes through this process from foreclosure to food closets, but thats not what im here for, I need your help now.  So, what are these debilitating symptoms caused by the tumor in particular?( I have other underlying bone and health issues ) Ill explain as blunt as possible. INSOMNIA!I have not had a proper nights sleep in over 30 months. I have been on EVERY sleep drug at every doseage known to man for insomnia, I still stay awake for days, severe effects of sleep depravation are a constant(from complete exhaustion too memory lapses..I have lost hours at a time) I have constant vertigo and balance issues, persistent and chronic pressure headaches and migraines with immense pressure behind my eyes, from hands to full body tremors, skin/ body and severe temperature sensitivity( i sometimes cannot even be touched, my clothes hurt),involuntary limb movement, blurred/cloudy vision, slight hallucinations (that for a while I swore was too much fun in 97)With my other health issues, this has proved quite the challenge, yet I push on.I received a brain MRI this year with results indicating a large mass on the pineal region of my brain and a condition known as "brain sag" (when the brain is either pushed out or lack of CSF fluid "allows" the brain to fall) I searched for doctors who specialized in this type of work( Only 2 in the US and about 5 total in the world)in October this year,I found a miracle man, Someone who understood my hurdles, knew what I was going through and wanted to help. That man is Dr Dong Kim-Neurosurgeon at University of Texas Mischer-Nueroscience. I received my consult with the direct response from the surgical team" Mr Pruitt, you have a massive tumor in your brain, I think this is the cause of most of your problems and it needs to come out!" I couldnt agree more. So what im asking for is a monetary donation from you, but a chance at my life back to me. I delayed creating this gofundme acct because as usual, I let my pride speak louder then common sense, but a good friend told me recently" real men swallow their pride and accept help when its needed". You couldnt have been more right Jim. I have my surgery scheduled already and I will be leaving for Texas January 6th to stay for a month after the surgery during my recovery period. I honestly thought I would be able to cover all the money needed, but it crept up on us and here we are, 5 weeks from surgery and nowhere close to what I need to make this happen. This can be rescheduled, and performed at a later date, but its a 3+month waiting list and I want this damn thing out!So im reaching out to family, friends, strangers,those who are able to, please help. What may be your pocket change,6 pack or trip to the movies, could also mean alot to me. The overall expected deductible($3,800), co-pay($3,200 depending on the length of my hospital stay and recovery) and expected travel/lodging costs($2500) are estimated at approx $10,000. If you happen to have an extra 10k laying around..id appreciate a low interest loan. But for those who dont, $1, $5, $20 would mean the world to me. Imagine if every friend on your facebook read this and passed it on to just  one of thier friends and each person donated only .25 cents, my goal would be met in no time. I ask for this donation to help me get this surgery, return to a more normal life, return to my wife the man she married(and deserves) and to my kids, the father they miss. While im here, I suffer on a daily basis. I have learned to cope with most of the issues, completely removed myself from ALL medications to see this monster for what it is and am ready to take the steps to get on with a more normal existence. Can you help? This means the world to me and my family and friends. We have exhausted all financial options with the exception of selling our vehichle or our home.
