Last November I was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes, and because my professions mean I heavily rely on my sight and couldn't wait long for the surgery,
The surgery had to be done sooner, rather than later. My right eye was operated on in February and my left eye in March. Both surgeries were completely successful.
My insurance covered very little of the total cost. In addition to $1,600 per eye, I also had to pay $2,795 per eye. That doesn't include the post-operative exams, and expensive anti-biotic and steroid eye drops.
We're stretched really thin right now and just couldn't afford the surgery--but it was a necessity.
That's why I'm continuing to reach out to you for help. This fundraiser is necessary and urgent.
