Fifty year-old Paul Gene Weaver suffered a stroke on June 28th, 2015 at his home in Plano, Texas. He was taken by ambulance to Medical Center of Plano, and has been treated by the amazing doctors and nurses there in the NeuroICU since then.
Paul and Carrie have been married for over 20 years and have two daughters, Anne-Claire, age 12, and Chloe, age 9. Paul has been a beloved part of the Plano community for many years, joining the Plano ISD as a business teacher at Shepton High School in 1986, impacting countless families as counselor at Thomas Elementary, Christie Elementary, Robinson Middle School, and Plano Senior High School. Since 2005, Paul has led the Plano ISD Counseling and Guidance department, as well as many programs assisting families in need or in crisis in the Plano area. He is proud to serve on the national Board of Trustees for the College Board. Paul's family has received tremendous support from their families and friends, the communities of Plano and of Avery, Texas, Paul's hometown, and appreciate the love and prayers sent their way.
The costs of Paul's medical care will be staggering. While the family's insurance will fund many of the costs of Paul's hospital stay and later rehabilition, they will not begin to cover it all, and because so many people have asked about a GoFundMe account, Carrie has agreed to the creation of one.
Thank you very much for your continued support of Paul Weaver and his family.
