On Saturday August 23, Julia’s life changed in an instant while spending the day at Table Rock Lake. Julia was enjoying time on a pontoon boat when she bravely jumped into the water to help another swimmer in distress. In the midst of her selfless act, she was struck by the propeller of a boat.

Julia was airlifted by Mercy Air Care to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, where she has undergone multiple surgeries to repair her leg, including broken bones and tendon damage. Her road to recovery will be long, painful, and filled with physical and emotional challenges.

Julia is an incredible daughter, friend, and young woman with a kind heart. She acted heroically to help another person, and now she and her family need our help. We are asking for donations of any amount to ease the financial burden of medical expenses, time away from work, and the many needs that come with such an unexpected tragedy.

Every prayer, donation, and share makes a difference in lifting some of the weight off Julia’s parents so they can focus on supporting their daughter’s healing journey.

Betsy her mother will be collecting the funds that have been donated to help with medical expenses and making it possible for Julia’s parents to take time off work and take care of her during this healing process.
