Hi, I'm Rob, and my home burned down last night. Everyone is fine, but my place is pretty much a total loss.

The house is currently unlivable.

We have insurance, but that's not going to cover everything, and it's not going to be repaired quickly. We haven't even had the damage assessed yet.

The upstairs is a total loss, that was my living quarters. Downstairs and in the basement, there is water damage.

My roommate is physically okay, but she will need a place to stay in Hennepin county for the duration.

I currently have a place to stay, but it's five hours away. I will need a place to stay when I'm down there, and I have two large dogs that come with me.

I work as a contractor, so any time I take away from work is unpaid. I can't afford to take any time off, so I will need someone in Minneapolis to be an advocate to work with the insurance adjuster and make sure everything is covered and the repairs are done properly. I'll probably also need an independent inspector to evaluate the damage.

I hate asking for help, but I can't do all of this myself. Please, if you can donate, anything helps.
