Please help Peggy

Hey, I’m Rach and I’m one of Peggy’s people’s.

I rescued Pegs almost 4 years ago now, she was 5 when I brought her home.

I had recently lost my last fur baby quite suddenly and traumatically after 14 years and the house was too quiet without a feline friend.

Pegs has filled up all the empty spaces in our hearts but now her vet bills are about to empty our bank accounts.

I found a lump in her throat around March time, took her for a fine needle sample and ultra sound and she has hyperthyroid. She started on thyronorm which has really helped and the thyroid hormones have now come down.

However, Pegs’s liver and kidneys now aren’t happy, the thyroid tumour is getting bigger and she has a grade 3 heart murmur.

We now have no option but for very expensive surgery.

Peggy isn’t insured, I’m clever like that and just didn’t think to.

Peggy has developed a cough due to the thyroid getting bigger and so we need to do a CT scan prior to her op.

This week she is having her blood pressure checked, a heart scan and I am attempting to get a urine sample.

The CT scan alone is £2,000.

The surgery, including xray and heart scan will be close to £2,000.

She has to have this surgery, we can’t loose her, she is everything to us. Her little croaky voice is breaking us, she is such a happy, wonderful girl. My heart is breaking.

We get married in 5 months and thought we would have time to save after the wedding for the surgery but we need to do it as soon as possible.

Any donations would be so greatly received and will all go towards treatment for Pegs.
