This is my friend Karen, who I’ve known for years.
In August 2019, one year after her son turned one, Karen discovered she had a lemon size tumor in her brain and needed to have surgery to remove it.  She was then diagnosed with brain cancer.  Although surgery was successful, Karen suffered a post surgical infraction, resulting in stroke like side effects.  Recovery has been going well and she was almost fully recovered.  But two years later, she was diagnosed with a lung tumor and now needs more surgery.
Karen has the support of her wonderful family. However the unexpected passing of Karen’s son’s father last year has also resulted in difficult times.
The money we raise will help her and her family with bills and nutritional expenses not covered by insurance while she is recovering.
