Hello, my name is Kelsye Fitts and I am creating this go fund me on behalf of my extended family: Samantha, Brittany, Fred and Marcquis.

This journey begins April 2nd of 2021 when Hope Angela Mayfield was careflighted to Toledo hospital for reoccurring seizures. Her health began to decline drastically and unbeknownst to us, this would be the start of the fight for her life. She has spent the last year depending on a ventilator , unable to speak, move , or support herself. Hope attempted to regain her strength and health to return home to her life partner, Fred Edwards, and to be alongside her 4 children. She fought through surgeries, comas, seizures and I am heartbroken to announce that Hope took her last fighting breath on April 7th, 2022.

We have all worked hard to provide her the best care and quality of life and are in need of additional support. This donation will impact the family by easing the financial responsibility that comes with handling her medical bills, memorial services, and the funeral. This past year has been quite the battle and we want to provide her a beautiful send off. We say goodbye to a woman who showed the greatest acts of bravery and strength and we ask for your love and prayers.
