Help Polo Walk Again

Polo urgently needs surgery to pin a break in his back leg and possibly remove a damaged metatarsal in the other.

He suffered these horrific injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Wakefield Road near Brodsworth. He’s incredibly lucky to be alive — it truly feels like he has a guardian angel watching over him.

Polo’s Story ❤️

Megan and Stuart met Polo at a dog shelter in Skiathos, Greece, during their holiday in September. They took him for daily walks, and he quickly stole their hearts.

Before flying home, they submitted adoption papers — and in October, Polo finally arrived in the UK to start his new life.

Tragically, just days after arriving, Polo got spooked and escaped from his new garden. He went missing, was struck by a car, and disappeared into hiding.

K9 RSQ and HARTSAR joined forces in the search and eventually found him in a ditch near Hooton Pagnall, Doncaster. He was rushed to the vets in critical condition.

At first, we didn’t know if he’d survive. Thankfully, after stabilising his blood pressure and managing his pain, vets referred him to a specialist who believes they can pin and save one leg and remove the damaged bone in the other — giving Polo the chance to walk again.
