British Theatre Academy Donations

The British Theatre Academy is a Youth Theatre programme providing free and affordable opportunities in Theatre for young people across the UK. The effects of Covid-19 on the Arts in the UK has already had a devastating effect on theatre companies, both professionally and for young people, with many productions companies and youth groups already having to close across the country.

BTA is doing everything it can to try to ensure that there is a safe space for young artists in the UK both during and after quarantine. We are providing online classes currently for free, with 12 sessions per week available covering different disciplines and levels, in a varied programme. Our staff and other industry creatives have been volunteering their time to try and bring hope, joy and enrichment to the lives of young artists.

Unfortunately, with BTA not being able to operate to full capacity at present, and with no clear timeline of when that can resume, the future of BTA is very much at risk. This is why we are now opening up a public donation campaign to help protect BTA and ensure there is a place where young artists can learn and develop in skills, confidence and life enrichment.

Our goal is to raise at least £25,000 through donations from anyone who is able to support.

We are also going to be offering the following opportunities for larger donations:
£125+: You will become listed as a "Friend of BTA" and be listed on our website
£250+: As well as the above, you will be entitled to claim 1 free BTA T shirt or Show T Shirt
£500+: As well as the above, you will be entitled to claim 2 premium tickets to the Vanessa Awards.
£750+: As well as the above, You will be listed on our website and future programmes as a "Patron of BTA"
£1000+: For corporate donations. As well as the above, we will feature your business in our programmes for a full calendar year, including our Summer Season, and will regard you as a sponsor. We will also offer your business up to 4 free tickets for a BTA show of your choice.

By donating, you will be:
- protecting the future of Arts training in the UK
- helping young people have online tutorials to engage with during quarantine
- helping us support our skilled staff and tutors, who have been working voluntarily
- ensuring more free and affordable opportunities for young people in the future

We are grateful for all donations, and thank you for supporting The British theatre Academy, and protecting the future of Theatre in the UK.
