Darlene is well known in the community as avid fan of cribbage, a member of the legion, and is a huge bingo aficionado. She's also a huge fan of impersonator shows. She loves meeting new people and has a great sense of humour, and holds her friends quite dear. She's always been very kind and thoughtful towards other people.

Tragedy struck back in December 2025 as her home caught fire while she was in another room. The sprinkler system went off, the fire department came and she had she had to be taken to the hospital. There they had discovered she had a leg infection, plus other medical issues which she is currently being treated for as she's waiting for a spot to open in assisted living after she gets well.

The insurance company came in and had to remove and destroy all her belongings due to water and smoke damage. This fundraiser is to help recuperate after a devastating loss of all her belongings, including all her clothing and personal effects.

Her friends are in charge of this GoFundMe and all of the donations are to go directly to Darlene. Anything you can spare will help her regain some of that which she's lost. This has been extremely devastating to her, mentally and physically, and she would appreciate anything you can spare to help her get her life back on track.
