On Sunday, September 7th (Father’s Day in Australia), Marcus passed away suddenly in Brisbane, leaving behind his wife and young daughter. Tragically, it was his little girl who found her father at home, alone with his body, an unimaginable trauma for any child. (mother was working).

Beyond the overwhelming grief, the family is facing severe financial hardship. Marcus was on a Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (subclass 482), still in the process of applying for permanent residency. This means his wife and daughter have no access to government benefits, childcare subsidies, or social support in Australia.

Their immediate needs include:

Funeral expenses, which are extremely high in Australia.

Rent and daily living costs, now solely on the wife’s shoulders.

Private daycare fees, ranging from A$ 120–180 per day, with no subsidy for non-residents.

Therapy for the daughter, who urgently needs psychological support after experiencing this traumatic loss.
