Zeus's Journey
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rachel, and I am fundraising for the death of my beloved baby pup, Zeus. My boyfriend and I wanted a pup for a really long time. We went to PA to pick up Zeus and when we saw Zeus for the very first time, we knew this day would change. We were so excited to bring him back to his new home.
Zeus was a cute and lively cockapoo who shared his love with everyone. He loved giving strangers hugs and kisses. We had many fond memories with Zeus from when we brought him out to meet our family and friends to playdates with other pups at the park. There was never a dull moment with Zeus.
Unfortunately, his time here with us was cut short at only 20 months. On Tuesday morning, Zeus presented concerning symptoms like lethargy and bleeding from his rectum. I called my boyfriend and he immediately left work to come home to bring Zeus to a nearby vet in Forest Hills. There they ran many tests and suspected that Zeus had rat poisoning, which was a surprise since we don't have any rat poison in the house. We were extremely concerned and worried. The vet said Zeus was unresponsive and had to stay in the ICU overnight. Sadly, he did not make it overnight and passed at 4 AM on Wednesday.
We were heartbroken and extremely confused when we heard the news. It felt like it we just got him yesterday and now he is gone. We lost our son, our friend, a pup that brought so much joy and happiness to ours and everyone's lives.
Later on, it was determined that Zeus suffered from a rare anaphylactic shock. We will cremate our beloved pup. Having that said, the medical bills are soaring high, and it was an unexpected financial cost that we did not see coming. We would really appreciate any donations. All donations will be used towards his medical bills and laying our baby pups, Zeus to rest.
Thank you for taking out your time to read our story.
