This past Tuesday, while I was at work, the wind blew my back door open and my dog, Zeus, got out. I was unaware that he had gotten out. He ran down the road from our house and he was a victim of a hit and run. When I got home and found out he was missing, I went searching for him. I asked a police officer if he had seen him and he said he was on his way to investigate a hit and run. We found my dog on the side of the road with a broken leg. Thank goodness that’s all that was wrong with him. I rushed him to the emergency veterinary clinic in Fairmont. They had to put a metal plate in his leg to fix him. I’m not one to ask for help, but this was an expense I never would have anticipated…a 4,000 expense. I am so grateful Zeus was not hurt more than he was and for the clinic who helped make him better. Unfortunately, the bill is going to be really hard to pay off. I’m young, work 40+ hours a week, trying to make it on my own..doing the best I can, so any help would be appreciated. Zeus would appreciate it as well!!
