Zeus needs TPLO surgery

Surgery booked 30/12/2025
This lovable lump is 3yo Zeus the Cane Corso.
after recently having a few vet visits costing in excess of £800 we’ve now found that he requires TPLO surgery (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) surgery is a procedure for dogs with a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) that stabilizes the knee by surgically altering the angle of the shin bone (tibia). Instead of replacing the torn ligament, the surgery cuts and rotates the top of the tibia to create a more level joint surface, which eliminates the need for the ligament and allows the joint to function properly without the forward sliding of the bone. The bone is then secured with a plate and screws while it heals, and post-operative care is crucial for a successful recovery.
this has come at the worst time after recently being diagnosed with a disability myself and being forced to give up work savings have been dwindling rapidly!
whilst I appreciate we are all struggling any help would be massively appreciated to get Zeus back out running the field and scrambling through forests.
being a single parent due to DV and caring for my dad who suffers from Dementia Zeus has been the glue holding everything together! Cheering me up through my newly diagnosed disability, playing with my daughter and giving her the fun and love she needs with her best friend, visiting my dad in his care home when he’s having a bad day and just generally being the best boy. Zeus loves nothing more than running about the fields and forests Scotland has to offer!
