This is my baby dog Zero. Zero is a 13 year old Chihua/Doxie mix. He was rescued by my students as a surprise for me. I've been blessed to have Zero in my life for the last 12 years. Recently, we welcomed a dog into our home while the owner is in between living situations. Yesterday I came home on my lunch break to find the visiting dog had brutally attacked Zero. He was bleeding profusely and near death. His airway was torn half of its circumference, he has multiple cervical chip fractures, damage to his lungs, severe swelling of his soft palate, and his neck tissue looks like hamburger. He went through emergency surgery to repair his airway and had to have a breathing tube overnight and throughout the day, due to swelling that blocked his airway. His road to recovery will be long and costly. If you have the means, a donation towards Zero's medical bills would be greatly appreciated. My dogs are my life. I can't lose my Zero. Thank you so much!
