Help Save A Street Cats Life Today!
Donation protected
The cats pictured here are just a few of the many we have personally assisted by desexing and rehoming wherever possible!! We did this without the help of any organization or funding body, only by raising funds!
Who are we?
We are 'Badass Cat Ladies', a group of fearless women who love cats and are on a mission to help save as many street cats as humanly possible—by desexing, managing post-op care, and rehoming these cats and kittens wherever possible.
What do we do?
So far, we have desexed approximately 40 cats and rehomed approximately 15. The life of a street cat is only between 2-5 years, whereas a domesticated pet cat can live up to 21 years of age. Street cats are the same as pet cats; they simply have not received the same level of love and trust as our pets. These animals deserve better! There is no funding and very little support for people who rescue street cats, and the average cost of desexing, vaccinating, and post-op care (including food, shelter, and bedding) is around $300. All the cats pictured here are cats we have helped; some still live on the streets (in their outdoor homes) with daily feeders looking out for them, and if any of them get sick, we are altered and can help again! Others went to forever homes.
What happens to the money?
The money goes straight to spaying and neutering the cats, emergency medical care, and medication, microchipping, regular food and shelter, transportation, crates, carriers, litter, trays, bedding, and beds, and ongoing medication for cats who need it!
The original Badass Cat Ladies story;
I have always loved cats and am an empath. When my beautiful mother, who raised me to love and care for animals, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2019, that's when I started caring for a little local colony of street cats in my neighborhood. I felt so powerless over her illness, but there was something I could do to help these beautiful, scared, and often very vulnerable animals! So I did! I learned how to humanely trap and then have these cats desexed, and continued to socialise and care for them.
