Hello, my name is Sarah Baham and I am 29yrs old. I am a junior at UWF, majoring in exercise science. I had my mitral valve replaced when I was 21yrs old due to endocarditis and unfortunately the valve is calcifying and causing issues. Due to this I have to go through this surgery again. Newest update: Day 10 post op, Open heart surgery: I have completely cut myself off narcotics that I was sent home with since Monday. I use CBD, CBD/THC ratio tinctures every 4 hours and Tylenol 500mg twice a day when necessary. Also a ratio balm for my muscles in my shoulder/neck. Yes things are uncomfortable but it’s bearable and I can think clearly. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated during this time of healing. ❤️‍

After going over everything with my Cardiothoracic surgeon, I will be having Open Heart Surgery on this upcoming Monday, May 23rd

The surgeon was about to cut my chest open when he saw that I had some type of staph infection. He stopped the surgery and now I’m on antibiotics for a week. My appt with the surgeon will be Tuesday, May 30th to reschedule my surgery for a 2nd time. I’m just ready to get this over with
