Hello Everyone,
I’m starting this gofundme in hopes of raising funds to help with medical expenses for my IVF (in vitro fertilization) journey. If most of you don’t know, my husband Flo and I have been together for 11 years and married for 6 and counting. Since we’ve been together we’ve always wanted to start a family and have been trying for years.
However, with a diagnosis of PolyCystic Ovaries Syndrome (PCOS) and a blocked right fallopian tube, it has been very difficult to plan a pregnancy and IVF has become our next solution. Since IVF is not usually covered by most insurances, most expenses will be coming out of our pockets which can lead up to $30K+. We have already did a fertility consultation and are currently waiting to continue on with the process. But due to some financial setbacks, it is making us second guess this journey. Additionally, I am not getting any younger and if the longer I wait, there is a less chance of having a successful pregnancy.
If most of you who know me and how I am with children, then you know that I’m known as Mommy Jen. It’s hard for me to ask for help from others because I feel it’s I and Flo’s responsibility to deal with this matter. This is the one thing in life I’ve always wanted and it’s to have children of my own. I am not asking for a lot nor is the fundraiser amount going to cover the full treatment, but I hope whatever help we can get can give us a head start on our journey. Otherwise, support is all we can ask for.
