Scotty’s Memorial Fund

As many of you know Scotty was truly one of a kind. If you met him, you couldn’t help but love him instantly. He’d greet you with those big blue eyes and his infectious smile. When you met Scott, you had a friend for life.

To all who know him and loved him, you know he was a clown, both literally and figuratively (for real, he was a certified clown). He loved to laugh, crack jokes, and goof around. He’d do just about anything to put a smile on someone else’s face. He loved and gave with all his heart. Scotty’s life of giving began young when he saved another child from drowning and that spirit of giving only continued throughout his life.

Scotty was so willing to give himself to anyone in need because at times in his life he found himself in need and never forgot what it was like to need help. Scott made no secret of his past struggles, but Scotty being Scotty was the definition of positivity and hope and had a gift like none other to make lemons into lemonade. He saw his struggles as an opportunity to help others. He became a certified drug counselor and helped so many get into treatment and would continue to check in to provide encouragement and his friendship. Every Christmas, Scotty and Danielle sponsored a family to make an unforgettable Christmas morning for area families in need.

Two years ago he gave the gift of life to his father, selflessly donating part of his liver without thinking twice of the risks. Even now, his giving spirit lives on. His final act of giving will continue to provide the gift of life for those in need through organ donation.

Scotty filled his 38 years to the max, and gave with everything he had and so many of you reached out and asked how you can help. Your love and prayers have gotten Danielle through these past few days while we prayed for a miracle, but now comes the hard part of making final arrangements and laying our beloved Scotty to rest.

Any money raised will go to Scotty’s medical bills, making his final arrangements and in the future a celebration of Scotty’s beautiful life. Danielle wants to meet, hug and talk about Scotty with everyone of you to keep his loving spirit alive through stories and memories. A celebration of life ceremony will be planned for a later date when we can all gather, love and celebrate Scotty’s life safely, together, and we all know how much Scotty would love a party in his honor!!
