On Labor Day, our hearts were shattered when the Lord called our grandmother home—suddenly and unexpectedly. She was visiting the resting place of our Aunty Wena, as well as her beloved parents, where she lost consciousness. Mama was rushed to Castle Hospital by ambulance, and God, in His divine timing, took her to be with Him.

Our grandmother was the light of our family. Mother of 4, grandmother of 11, and GREAT grandmother to 6 beautiful babies! Always full of smiles, laughter, and love, she had a contagious laugh that could brighten even the heaviest of days. She made it her mission to check up on every relative, no matter how distant, reminding us all that family was at the center of her heart. She took care of everyone before herself—never hesitating to give whatever she had. She was our stylish queen, always graceful, always radiant, and always in red. More than anything, she was a devoted follower of Christ, living her life as an example of faith, compassion, and service.

Her sudden passing has left us with unexpected expenses for both her celebration of life and medical care. While our hearts are heavy, we are trusting God’s plan. We want to honor her in the way she deserves—with dignity, love, and grace—and we would be deeply grateful for any support in helping us do so.

$27,000 will be needed to cover Mama’s funeral and burial costs, and the remaining $13,000 will be for the medical costs that her insurance did not cover.
