Zel's Top Surgery Fund!

Hey folks!

My name is Zel Amanzi, and I'm raising money to help cover my gender affirming top surgery :) See below for a breakdown.

 

About me

I'm a Black, Queer & Neurodivergent Gender Anarchist. Many of you know me as the founder of Transgressive Medicine, co-founder of Trans Yoga Project, and collaborator with Cuties LA and Transgender Training Institute. I've dedicated my life to supporting multiply marginalized folks like me, especially other Black and Brown Queer, Trans and Neurodivergent folks through combined sacred energy and anticolonialism work.

 

My top surgery is scheduled for Feb 2022, and the doctor I found & trust who takes my insurance is in San Francisco (I'm in LA). My out of pocket costs after insurance are about $5K. Your support will help me pay for the AirBnB, dog sitting for my dog who I can't care for while healing, food so my ND brain remembers to feed myself, and help offset the lack of income for me and my partner. Neither of us gets paid time off, and we both need to take 2 weeks off completely, and I'll need to dramatically reduce my workload for the remainder of February.

Raising any amount of money will allow me to breath so much deeper and also help us not go further into debt! I am so grateful for any support you can provide, including sharing if you don't have the funds.
