Unexpected loss of a child
Our friend and colleague, Elizabeth Smith, has lost her beautiful 3 year old daughter, Zelda, after her brain swelled uncontrollably following a chemo treatment for B-Cell Acute Lymphoid Leukemia. This tragedy happened only days after Elizabeth took her little girl to the ER thinking she just needed some iron supplements. Since then, it has been a terrible rollercoaster for the family, ending in the most horrific of ways. Zelda was spunky, independent, and active. She loved to read and sing, play with her big sisters, and she loved her birds (she said the ducks barked). Zelda was a sweet little girl who was inquisitive and so adventurous. She was strong like her biggest sister and kind like her middle sister. She would have turned 4 next month. Please help these parents as they greive for their baby girl, pay for the unexpected funeral expense, and provide emotional care to their two older daughters.
Two weeks ago Zelda was a happy 3 year old.
Please help this family (Jim, Elizabeth, Jadzia, and Kaylee) by providing support in this most tragic of times.
