Robin is many things to many people: a mother, friend, daughter, nurse, and soon - survivor. In each of these roles, she has shown to be above all else, courageous.

Her courage has set her apart in the past as she fought alongside her son Nik, who was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma at age four. After five rounds of chemo, tumor-removal surgery, radiation, and TWO stem-cell transplants, he beat cancer. Despite daily challenges due to these treatments, together Robin and Nik continue to conquer each day with positivity and grace. Nik is now 11 years old.

Robin, age 37 and a single mother, is now facing her own battle - with stage 3 invasive ductal breast cancer.

Working as a nurse (LPN) while simultaneously pursuing her RN as a full-time student, Robin discovered a lump in her armpit in June. Although nothing was detected during a mammogram, additional testing and a second lump resulted in her diagnosis.

She is now facing 20 weeks of chemo, radiation, and a probable double mastectomy.

Despite a wonderful support system including Nik's father (Jimmy), his fiancé, Robin's many friends and family, she will need continual emotional and financial support.

Anyone who has met Robin has experienced her warmth, humility, caring nature and quick wit. She is a warrior! Simply put - Robin Rocks!
