For Zeki, our little strong fighter!

Zeki is a very special 2 year old boy in our community (Aljezur) who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He’s luminous, strong and full of joy even though he is undergoing a challenging and painful 2 year healing process full of chemotherapy, medicine and hospital visits.

We need your help to support Zeki and his parents (super mama, Anna and super papa, Tolga) for additional treatments, necessary lifestyle adjustments, expenses that have been caused by the circumstances and absence of work.

A few words from Zeki’s mama, Anna.

“Zeki has been diagnosed with leukaemia (cancer of the blood). During the summer we recognised that he wasn’t that active and independent anymore and we knew something was going on. He didn’t want to go in the sun, swim in the water or ride his bike anymore. He wasn’t able to focus on games or walk long distances and suffered from recurring fever… fortunately it is a cancer that is quite good to treat especially in that age and for now it didn’t spread into his brain. The treatment is supposed to take 2 years. He is getting six cycles of chemotherapy and maintenance therapy. Even though the therapy is intense and obviously effecting every system of his little body, I’m so impressed by his great ease, his contagious good spirit and bright smile everyday.”
