This is Zeke.  Otherwise known as Ezekiel, meaning “God’s Strength.”

Zeke is a golden doodle who is 7 years old, living with our sister and family, Dani, Scott, Eli and Helena.

Zeke was brought into our family when our parents, Roger and Sandie Gilbertson, brought him home in 2012. Our Mom, Sandie, was battling Stage 4 cancer and as a lifelong dog lover, wanted a pup to love.  Zeke was a spunky and sassy pup, but brought so much joy to our Mom and Dad.

After our Mom passed away in September of 2016, Zeke kept our Dad company.  Dad didn’t want to go anywhere without bringing Zeke.  Zeke was really our dad’s best friend after we lost Mom.

Unfortunately, our Dad passed away in January of 2017, so Zeke lost both his “parents.”  Luckily, the rest of us are also dog lovers and already loved Zeke so much so he found a wonderful home with Dani and family.  Zeke is an amazing sweet dog and we love him very much.  Having been our parent’s dog he also holds a very special place in our hearts.

Recently, Zeke has struggled with hypothyroidism, and a myriad of allergies that caused him to lose a lot of his beautiful hair.  It seems like Zeke was finally on the mend from these issues, but now there is a new struggle.

Zeke has now been diagnosed with Blastomycosis, which is a nasty fungal bacterial infection that is difficult and expensive to treat and could be life threatening.  Times are tough for everyone financially thus the Go Fund Me page for Zeke’s treatment.

Any help for Zeke’s treatment would be appreciated more than you know.

He is such an important part of the family, and we love him a lot.
