Hi, my name is Hayley, and I am fundraising for my brother Zeke. Zeke has been battling liver failure for 10 months. At the beginning of September, he was put on the transplant list and on September 16th, he had a successful liver transplant. Zeke will be required to live in Sacramento for 4-6 weeks. Since November, he has been unable to work and lives 4.5 hours from Sacramento. To prevent his body from rejecting his new liver, Zeke will be on immunosuppressant medication for life. This makes group living or ride shares not an option. Thankfully, there is an Airbnb nearby so he can be safe, have access to a kitchen, laundry, and a small yard for fresh air. Along with the challenges of recovering physically and emotionally, he needs support for basic necessities like the 34 or more nights stay in Sacramento, food, and toiletries. The estimated cost for the minimum nights he will need to stay at the Airbnb is, $3,550. I am fundraising for at least $4,000 to help support him with his basic needs for recovery.
