Coach Snelson vs. Cancer

As many of you may have heard Coach John Snelson has a fight on his hands. Coach has been diagnosed with cancer in the past few weeks. He begins his cancer treaments on July 20th. This will be a battle for him and his family, yet a battle that he and the family are willing to face head on. Coach is one of my best friends in life. We have coached against each other and with each other as well. He is a great man and mentor of high school athletes. There is no telling how many student-athletes he has touched and helped to guide them throughout very tough times in their lives. Now is a time for us to help him in a time of need.
Coach played his high school football at Sam Rayburn HS in Pasadena, TX and his college football at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. He has coached high school football at Tarkington HS, Winnie HS, Diboll HS, South Houston HS, Pasadena Memorial HS, and is currently the Athletic Director/Head Football Coach at Dickinson HS. He is a very proud husband to Mandy Snelson and father to Clare Snelson (University of Houston), Bo Snelson (United States Naval Academy), and Sammy Snelson (United States Military Academy).
It is my prayer and goal that during this time of need we help to offset the finacial burden this family will endure during this battle with cancer. I truely believe we can be a blessing to this outstanding family by donating what ever we can afford to help with this familiy in need. If any of you know Coach has devoted his entire adult life to high school students and athletes and has never ask for anything in return. Furthermore, he himself is not asking for anything now. I as his friend am asking you to help this great family in their time of need. Any amount you could spare would be a great blessing to this wonderful family. This is an opportunity for us to band together and show how much we love and appreciate all Coach Snelson has done for so many young lives in Southeast Texas and help to releave them of the financial burden this process will put on this wonderful family.
