Hi ya'll So here's what's up... In the beginning of January my mom moved up to Arcata. Humboldt is my mom's happy place. She moved into a beautiful small home tucked away in the redwood trees. She got to enjoy the utter peace and serenity for two weeks. Half way through January, my mom was diagnosed with advanced triple negative basal cell breast cancer. Her whole world has been flipped upside down and she has not gotten a break since. This Monday 2/28 she will be getting a PET scan to determine the exact stage. Afterwards my mom will have at least 6 months of intense chemo, surgery, and radiation. She is already unable to work due to pain, and she is having car issues. My mom is the strongest person I know, and she's very uncomfortable asking for help. But sometimes strength means asking for help when you need it most. I can not express how incredibly grateful me and my family would be to receive support for my mom. Please help her stay in her peaceful home during this difficult time, and relive some extra stress from her life. To all my friends and family, on be half of my mom and sibalings, we are so grateful for all the love and support we have received already. Anything can help, but the most important thing is prayers!
