Fund Zama home

Zama and I met here in the U.S.A when we came as exchange students from South Africa in 2013. Our bubbly personalities and free spirits made us grow from colleagues to best of friends.

Zama came back to the U.S.A 2 years ago as a H2B employee, for 6 seasons as per the H2B rules.

A few months ago she started complaining of shortness of breath and went to the doctor and hospital several times. The issue would go and come back, and the last time she went to the hospital for consultation, she was admitted. Sadly, that resulted in her being hospitalized for 7 weeks. She was said to have asthma and pneumonia, and that caused both her lungs to collapse.

The doctors did all they could to help her and keep her alive. Unfortunately, she passed because her body was under a lot of strain.

Her passing has left us with many strains as she passed here in the U.S.A.

Her body to be transported back to South Africa is estimated to cost us between $11,000 to $15,000.

I am pleading with the nation to assist us, as we would greatly love for her to be buried back home by her family and loved ones. She would have wanted to be buried back home. This will also help the family and loved ones start their healing journey seeing her for the last time. Also, a final send-off will be the closure they need to heal as this is a lot of strain.
