HELP JOCELYN ANDREWS IN HER FIGHT TO BEAT CANCER

Our friend, Jocelyn Andrews, needs our help, now more than ever. As some of you may know, Jocelyn was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016. She had surgery and radiation and appeared to have beaten the disease. Unfortunately, in June 2021, she was given the news that the cancer had returned and it was Stage 4 metastatic cancer. The disease was found in her chest, lymph nodes, lungs, and bones. For the last twelve months, Jocelyn has tried five different treatments and is currently undergoing her third round of chemotherapy.

Jocelyn was a nurse at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital for over 33 years. If that was not impressive enough, she decided to go to law school, and after Jocelyn graduated, she passed the Texas State Bar in 1999. For over the last decade, Jocelyn has practiced law as a solo practitioner, which means that she only gets paid if she works. Because of the cancer treatments, her ability to work has been dramatically affected. She is now on oxygen. Walking any distance is very taxing on her physically, and the treatments are causing extreme fatigue.

Jocelyn has never met a stranger and has always helped those in need. So much that she probably should have claimed a few people on her taxes. We have seen her buy food for the homeless, help older people with their errands, deliver food boxes to those in need, and collect and deliver appropriate hair products for children in the foster care system.

Jocelyn needs our help with her daily living expenses and the medical expenses that are not covered by insurance. We need Jocelyn to focus on her healing and not be stressed about financial concerns. Please consider contributing and helping our friend get through this difficult time.
