RETURNING TO THE PROMISED LAND

Hello friends,
I am Shongi Motsi, a nineteen year old lover of wisdom, wonder, and worship passionately living a life led by our beautiful and gracious King.
A year ago I received the call to move to Seattle, Washington in pursuit of a nursing degree at the one and only Seattle Pacific University (go Falcons!). This call, like most, came with a promise of provision for the necessary funds to attend this school, so in full faith I packed my bags and began the 2,000 mile journey to the breathtaking Pacific Northwest.
Four weeks into my first quarter at SPU I received an unfortunate email regarding the loan I was hoping to receive to cover my year of tuition. So I signed my leave of absence papers and packed my bags to figure out what in the world God had planned for me (spoiler alert: good things!). A month goes by and I began working full time back in my hometown but still felt an overwhelming tug back to Seattle. It still doesnt make sense, but luckily for me it didnt have to. The Lord had not a plan for me, but a promise. He had reminded me of a past Sunday school lesson about the Israelites and the Promised Land, and revealed to me that His story, His goodness didn't end in the Old Testament. In fact, He desired to take me on the same journey and lead me to our own Promised Land. So I packed my bags for the second time, and without a place to live, a job in place, and nothing more than my months savings I traveled back to the Emerald City to begin the wildest ride of my life.
But like the good Lord, his promises dont change! He has called me back to SPU this fall but in doing so He also required that I leave my full time job, withdraw from my current community college, and take another leap of faith into the wilderness and learn to solely rely on Him. Thankfully this time I know completely that He is still the same God who drops manna from the skies. So I ask you friends, to join me and my journey with God back to the promised land. I am in need of exactly $5,932 and am hoping to sell t-shirts in addition to raise the necessary funds. But friends, this is more than education, it is more than even me! You are declaring your faith in His purpose for my life and investing the work He has prepared for me on the campus, in the city, and in the individual lives I have and will come to meet. Anything and everything will help, so I just ask that you simply ask and pray if this is something you too are called to join or if He has other ways you can contribute (prayers are always ALWAYS welcomed).
I would like to thank those who have made this journey so far possible. For those who believed with me, had faith in me, and prayed for me when I didn't have the words to cry out. You truly have been a blessing in my life and are the extension of God's heart and hand supporting me.
