Cathy has always been full of love and ready for life’s next adventure. Her caring heart and kind soul have touched many lives. Cathy has been fighting what seemed to be an endless battle for almost a year now. She is exhausted – and in need of financial help and prayers. Here is her story:
Last January, Cathy underwent surgery for a hernia and bowel obstruction. Unfortunately, too much of her small intestine was removed - resulting in the need for an additional surgery. Doctors used mesh and screws during the second surgery. Cathy’s health has been declining rapidly ever since. Numerous trips to various doctors left Cathy with no answers and so much pain to endure. After months of suffering, Cathy was finally blessed with some answers. She found a doctor who took a closer look at the screws used in the second surgery. It turns out that Cathy’s body is rejecting the screws. In spite of her months of suffering, Cathy kept a positive attitude as she reached out to family and friends about the recent news:
“I literally have a screw loose” Cathy says….
Cathy is scheduled to meet with a team of specialists at the Mayo clinic October 28th. What she hopes to be her final surgery will follow just a few days later on October 30th. To date, Cathy is not even sure how she will pay for the two night hotel stay which is necessary for her to consult with specials. Months of recovery time will be needed after the surgery. With only 25 hours of PTO left, Cathy knows her financial struggle will only worsen in the months to come.
Please join us in supporting Cathy through the rest of her difficult journey. Time is running out so please donate today!
