***Update***
Following his MRI scan and spinal tap, the results confirmed Lenny has immune mediated meningitis in his spinal cord. Unfortunately he now has to start aggressive chemotherapy (followed up on a monthly basis) and steroids in order to alleviate his symptoms, by suppressing his immune system. There is a high possibility of relapse, even during treatment, and for this reason the vets have advised a 50-50% chance of survival in the next couple of months. We are praying the chemotherapy and steroids work their magic and his body responds well.
We would be extremely grateful if you can assist in helping towards his medical bill costs. To stay up to date with Lenny’s progression, please follow his Instagram @Lennyweimaraner.

Hi, we are raising funds for Lenny’s medical bills following sudden symptoms we believe is the onset of Cervical Spondylomyelopathy, or more commonly know as “Wobbler Syndrome”.
Wobbler Syndrome is caused by pathology associated with the intervertebral discs between the bones of the vertebral column or a malformation of the bones that make up the cervical vertebral column.
Lenny’s symptoms include a ‘wobbly’, uncoordinated gait, constantly stumbling, and scuffing his feet. He has also developed faecal incontinence, has lost a lot of weight, cries when shaking his head, and finds it near impossible going upstairs.
It breaks our hearts to see Lenny in this condition, a dog once so full of life at the young age of three has now morphed into an old man barely able to leave his crate.
The diagnosis of Wobbler Syndrome is confirmed using an MRI scan to examine the spinal cord and the discs between the cervical vertebrae. A CT scan can then be used to examine the shape of the bones of vertebral column.
We have exhausted all options with his regular vet who have now recommended Lenny sees a neurology specialist at the Queen Mother Veterinary Hospital.
As Lenny is a member of our family, we are desperate to get the tests done as soon as possible to hinder any further damage to his spinal cord, and to even prevent paralysis to all four limbs.
