Hi everyone!

My name is Maddy Frank, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my dad, who is currently recovering from a serious work-related injury. He owns his own business, Bucket Bill's, providing window washing, gutter cleaning, chandelier cleaning, and similar services in and around Greensboro, North Carolina.

On Thursday, May 29th, while working on a roof, he attempted to come down using a ladder that unfortunately proved to be unstable. He fell approximately 20 feet onto concrete. As a result, he sustained a head injury, broke both hips, fractured his tailbone, and fractured three ribs. He had surgery on his pelvis and remains hospitalized for the foreseeable future. Post hospital, he will be in a wheel chair and receive progressive care and physical therapy to start walking again.

The road to recovery will be long—doctors estimate that he won’t be able to walk independently for at least three months. As you can imagine, this has placed a significant financial strain on him being out of work for so long while accumulating medical bills in addition to the cost of daily living. Given the physically demanding nature of his work, he will likely need to figure out alternative employment options once he recovers.

Despite the severity of his injuries, we’re incredibly grateful that he’s still with us. We’re kindly asking for any extra support as he works on getting back on his feet and navigating life after this injury.
