Hi, my name is Kelly and I’m trying to raise money to help pay for the veterinary care our new little family member Odin needs to survive. He is 12 weeks old and has today been diagnosed with a condition called Portosystemic shunt (PSS), or liver shunt. These are abnormal vessels that allow normal blood, which drains from the digestive system (stomach, intestines, pancreas), to bypass the liver and flow directly into the systemic circulation and it is making him very poorly. Without the correct treatment he will not likely live more than a few months. He is unable to stand and it currently in veterinary supportive care. Our pet insurance will only cover the first £4000 and the bill is likely to be triple this. The money will be used to give Odin a fighting chance and corrective surgery to fix the problem. Myself and my children are heartbroken and have tried to contact multiple dog Charity’s that are unable to help as we do not fall in their catchment. Please anything you can donate no matter how small would be amazing as this is his only chance.
