30 Year Old Stroke Survivor

Donation protected
Hi everyone. Last December I suffered a stroke at just 29 years of age.

As a result of my stroke I collapsed three times, I had bleeding on the brain, two lumber punctures on my spine, I was falling in and out of consciousness and nobody knew if I would survive.
When I was conscious I discovered that I had no feeling in my right arm or leg and was paralysed. Fortunately that improved and now I can walk but not normally and I can’t open my right hand.
My eyesight was also affected; I could barely see anything and was seeing yellow spots.
Then I had major heart surgery which was also a complication of my stroke. Being informed that I had to have my chest cut open & have a big scar wasn’t something I was expecting. Then again, I could say that about everything I’ve endured.
I also had Covid and have to take blood thinners every day.

I was stuck in hospital for several months and then was stuck in a rehabilitation hospital.
Lying down flat on my back for several months in a hospital bed having blood tests every day was exceuciatingly difficult.
If it wasn’t for my family visiting me I would have gone crazy. I’m so grateful to my family & especially my Mom who came to visit me everyday in hospital.
I love her so much and I’m so grateful for everything she’s done for me in my life.

I’m so grateful to great Allah for helping me survive and make it through.
My family all prayed for me and I prayed and Allah heard our prayers and now I’m home.

I was working at a warehouse at Amazon before my Stroke and actually I suffered a stroke on the same day I was supposed to return to work.
I thoroughly enjoyed working there; it was my favourite job and I excelled at it.
However, now I can’t work there because of my mobility and poor eye sight.

Also, I can’t even watch TV properly or play on my Playstation 5 that my family bought me when I was in hospital. They believe that would motivate me.
Unfortunately I can’t play it and I used to play on my Playstation everyday.
I also would love to be a singer but I can’t even record a song properly because I can’t read the lyrics I write when recording a song. I’ve tried but it’s extremely difficult.

It seems I can’t do anything that I used to be able to do & that hurts.
This stroke has turned my life upside down.
I turned 30 a couple of months ago and I should be in the prime of my life, but it feels like the opposite.
After everything I’ve endured I feel like a 90 year old man.

I’m very depressed about all this and feel like life has passed me by.

I pray to Allah that I can change all that inshallah.

Your funds will be used to help me with my stroke recovery and the treatment for restoring my eyesight is overseas.
If you guys could help me reach my goal that would mean the world to me and it would give me hope that one day I can live a normal life.
