Hi, my name is Christopher and I created this gofundme for my father, George Chavez. He recently passed on March 29th after struggling with multiple health problems including heart failure. Unfortunately his health declined quickly and he was forced to retire early leaving him and his wife to struggle financially. He first had a heart attack in 2017 but as soon as he recovered went back to work as a janitor for the Yucaipa-Calimesa school district to try to continue to provide for his family. He had worked for the school district over 20 years. He was beloved by any who knew him and pushed through for years after his heart attack and constant pain just because he loved his job and family. Unfortunately in 2021 when he was forced to retire his health quickly declined. He was in and out of the hospital which created a lot of stress and mounting debt due to medical bills. He left behind his 3 sons and his wife. Along with the sadness that comes with losing a loved one we are also left with the strain of trying to get together funds to help his wife pay for his cremation and service. His wife is also dealing with healt problems herself and is having an extremely difficult time trying to manage that and deal with the financial difficulties our family has been left with. At this moment anything would help. The money will be put to helping his wife get food and medication and for paying for services for George Chavez. We appreciate any and all help in this difficult time.
