David Samuel Stern, my husband, recently passed away on Friday 2/12/21. My husband was a big teddy bear, larger than life and always had a loving heart. I first met David in 2014 through my friend Desiree in Laguna Beach. Luckily, I kept running into him while we were out with our friends, at art museums and at Desiree's place. David eventually asked Desiree for my phone number and I said “Yes!”. After that, we became inseparable. David and I got married in 2017 and were together for 8 years. Married for 4 amazing years, he loved me unconditionally. He loved me for who I was, never let me be hard on myself and we truly loved each other with all of our hearts.
David was an avid athlete having played baseball, wrestling, surfing, and skateboarding. I later found out he snowboarded professionally. He always kept me on my toes with his love for life and passion for sailing in the open seas. We were supposed to grow old together and die together. I will continue to love you with all my heart my big teddy bear, my honey. Thank you for showing me what true love is like, something I will always cherish.
David was a beacon of light, love, joy, happiness, unity and much more in my life. He brought the same, relentless energy to my family, friends and every person he met. It was the defining, most beautiful thing about David. He could meet somebody for the first time and give them his undivided attention, ask questions with genuine curiosity and leave the other person feeling strong and confident. In a world which deeply needs more love and less hate, David unequivocally led by example. David was charismatic and by far the most loving person I have ever met.
I am in charge of the expenses (Claudia his wife) and we need funds by 2/20/21. The funds are needed for David's funeral, his burial is this Monday on the 2/22/21 . Unfortunately, dying in today’s world is incredibly expensive. We need to pay for the mortuary, casket, burial, death certificate and more. If you can contribute anything to his funeral that would mean the world to us and would be greatly appreciated.
❤️Rest in Peace David Samuel Stern ❤️
