Please help my family

Hi my name is Leah and I am asking for financial help for my family for medical bills and expenses, household bills and basic needs while we recover from this horrible tragedy. Four days ago my dad who is a taxi cab driver picked up a passenger from a hospital in south Saint Louis city. The passenger had a destination near Gravois but when they got close to it he changed his mind and said he wanted to be taken to Arnold instead. My dad got on the highway and headed that way. While driving down the highway the passenger lunged at my dad, grabbed him around his throat, and reached for the steering wheel. He told my dad it was a good night to die. My dad hit the brakes and tried to get the guy off of him. When he couldn't get him to stop attacking him he grabbed his gun. Because the guy wouldn't back down, my dad not only shot him but accidentally shot himself. The bullet went through my dads neck injuring his spine and severing his spinal cord. He was fully awake and aware but couldn't move. He was there on that highway for 35 minutes just bleeding, no one stopping or calling for help- and then someone crashed into the back of his taxi cab. The impact broke his shoulder. He was the provider of our family and now he is in the icu and paralyzed. My mom and my little sisters and I have never really been through a more difficult time.
