Help Mike Fight
Donation protected
As Michael Giachetti's retirement just begun one year ago, relocating down south as most retirees do and owning his own travel agency booking cruise lines for his loyal customers, things were looking pretty good until he was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis. While things were about to become difficult for him, Covid-19 broke out making it a much more challenging fight.
His team of doctors have been nothing less than top notch and I hope they know we really appreciate the time & dedication they have put in during these tough times. (Prisma Health Cancer Institute - Greenville S.C.)
The only cure for Myelofibrosis is a stem cell transplant. Since I am a match, I recently had the opportunity to donate my stem cells to help cure my father's disease. As donating was a process in itself, I would do it over again if I had to. We wait patiently everyday for news that my stem cells are grafting with his bone marrow . While this process takes its course, medical bills are beginning to add up. Medications for his treatment don't come cheap. I couldn't imagine what he is really going through fighting this alone in a hospital when visitor's aren't allowed to lend their support. I would like to at least try and alleviate some of his financial burden so he can focus on just getting better.
I know we are in a very tough time with everything that's been going on in our country so I understand a lot of people are in rough situations. If you are unable to help donate, please spread our message and pray for him. While is wife Beth is home alone unable to be by his side, his daughter Melissa is about to get married and will be unable to attend her wedding, his daughter Melanie & myself and grand children are in New York/ New Jersey. I can only pray that he is cured so he can enjoy retirement and spend more time with his family. We all appreciate the support in advance, God bless...
