A New Home for Bob and Sue

Thank you for clicking to find out more about my friends, Bob and Sue, and their need for a new home.

Let me start by telling you a little about Bob and Sue.
I first met Bob and Sue about 10 years ago. I was singing with Soul'd Out Quartet (SOQT) and we were performing in Indiana. They attended that concert as their first date..... you do the math :-)
We met that night and began a friendship that led to SOQT being a part of their wedding in South Carolina. Yes, you heard me correctly, I was Bob's best man. The relationship continued and they took the time to travel to many different states and spend countless hours driving just to hear SOQT in concert. Their favorite place to travel to for concerts was Blue Gate Theater in Shipshewana, IN. Not only did they travel to see SOQT but they would go to concerts all across Indiana to see many different Southern Gospel groups. I know that many artist can say that they have met these two.

When I left SOQT and joined Legacy Five (L5), they continued to show their support by coming to L5 concerts. Not long after that, Bob started to have some serious health issues. They could no longer travel like they use to, but would still make every effort to attend any concert they could in the Indianapolis area. Last winter, Bob was unable to attend the Jubilee Christmas program in Indianapolis because of his health issues. Since then, he has basically been stuck in his bed trying to recover from surgery and multiple health issues. I recently had the opportunity to visit him and we had a great time eating pizza and talking! I walked away that day with a burden to help these two.

Here's the issue. The roof of their mobile home has basically collapsed and is allowing water into the home in multiple spots. There are several other issues that need to be addressed to allow Bob to have a place to rest, rehab and recover in. I had a friend of mine, that works in the mobile home industry to go out and inspect their home. His assessment was that there was way too many issues to fix. If you fixed the issues, it would cost much more than the home is worth. After hearing that, I knew that something needed to be done. You see, Bob is unable to stay in a rehab hospital because his insurance is unwilling to make the payments. In addition, the additional costs they have incurred from his continued health care has strapped them. They do not have the money to purcahse a new home. So, I asked my friend's company what they could do. Here is what we came up with:
Delaware County Mobile Homes Sales (DCMHS) has a used mobile home that will meet their needs. Sue, has walked through the home and thinks it would be a great home for them. DCMHS has agreed to help with this fundraiser by selling, delivering and installing the home at a reduced cost. There is an open spot right next to their current home where the new one can go. The home will be placed. Belongings will be moved and they can move into a freshly painted, cleaned, air conditioned home that will give Bob a much needed place to recover. Your donation goes toward meeting the $10,000 goal. This money will be used to purchase, deliver and install their new home. It will fit their needs!

Thank you for taking the time to read about my friends and their need. Your donation is greatly appreciated!
