Mini’s story
Hi friends!
We have struggled to start a fund for Mini because we have tried to accomplish this mission alone, but we realized we can’t do this without the support of others. We’d like to introduce you to Mini. Mini is a Corgi that we rescued as a puppy and soon found out why she was a rescue. Mini became quite ill days after bringing her home. After many tests and hospital visits, Mini was diagnosed with a liver shunt. A little background on a liver shunt; majority of Mini’s blood bypasses her liver and is not filtered like it needs to be. With the buildup of ‘bad blood’ Mini becomes altered and risks seizures if she isn’t properly medicated. She’s currently on 4 medications, twice a day. While this sustains her current health, we can’t keep this up long-term for her because her life-span would be significantly shortened. We had a consultation with the surgeon and the cost of the surgery ranges from $6,500-$8,300. Our family sadly can’t afford this, so we ask for your help. We would be forever grateful for any help you can provide.
