NIKA - rehabilitation center

“The older you get, the fewer things you really love, and by the time you get to my age, maybe it's only one or two things. There is only one left for me..."
The quote above is what Renner's Staff Sergeant James ("Hurtlocker") tells to his son before voluntarily depart to next rotation just days after he returned home. And this one thing he loves, can live in and good at is the war.

War is breaking everyone and everything. But major traumas are not seen - they damage us from inside. And also hurting those close to us.
Many former military do depart from service physically, but mentally and emotionally they remain there, where the things are clear, black&white and straight forward. There are tremendous efforts and support needed to help those men and women to retain mental health and be able truly "come back home" after the war is over.

That is what we do in NIKA rehabilitation center www.nikahelps.in.ua
Now I fundraise to continue operation of NIKA to the next stage.

All gathered funds are directed to support qualified psychologists and doctors in our project, who keep working in Ukraine to provide help where needed. Every donation counts - even 10EUR from each donor can make a big difference.

Thank you for being human.
