Medical bills and monthly bills

Hello everyone , here is our story. My name is Nathalie Gauvin-Halliday. In July of 2020, I was in a vehicle accident. Due to my injuries and daily chronic pain , I was unable to return to work. My husband Darrell took care of everything . November 2023 , he went on a medical leave. He was ready to return to work near the end of May 2024, but ended up having a stroke and cardiac events on May 13th . He is now off for a minimum of a year. We will need to travel for his appointment ( 4 hour round trip ). His appointments include seeing his family Dr, cardiologist, neurologist, rehabilitation at the stroke center, those are just a few that we know off hand. He was hospitalized for 8 days in Saskatoon. Since his release , he is doing a bit better , but his vision is very impaired. He is unable to drive , uses a walker when we go outside of our home. He also has problems with the functionality of his right leg. The reason we are fundraising is because , I am on a CPP disability and my husband Darrell received his last EI benefit early June 2024. He’s unable to work , his work benefit told us he’s unable to receive short term disability, due to him being off on a medical leave. He applied for CPP disability, it may take up to 4 months to be approved . We used any savings we had after my accident and while he was off for almost 6 months. No donation is too small , every bit helps.
